|Emerald Fitzgerald Nail Polish by China Glaze|
First off, I've done nothing noble to be able to title this piece as I have. It's just winter, and green is a pretty, moody color... on my thumb...
Lately I've wanted to "go dark". Weekly I thought I'll go to the nail salon and try a midnight blue or green. I mean, because usually I get a pail pink on my toes, and leave my hands bare. SO minimalistic, I know.
Only after the new year did I find a perfectly satisfying hue; this beautiful dark green that I was strongly drawn to. I literally stepped forward toward the color wall when I saw it there among all the oranges, reds, and browns. I got a pedicure, then decided to really commit and do a manicure too, so my hands and feet match. I'm SO stoked about it! Emerald is such a gorgeous color.

Out shopping for something nice to bring home to my grandmother after her long week of travel, I decided to pick up some flowers. When I saw that calla lilies are in season, the decision was made! They're classic, and easily fit into the color palette in any room.
As a token to my appreciation for photography, this photo was taken in a style that contrasts light and dark. You can't kind of imagine the squeal I let out at this photo's review! I was so pleased with the image because it was on accident. You had to be there.
My camera is simple, but I guess I did well to showcase the visually stunning simplicity of the California grown calla lily. Hope she likes them!

|Sheer Beaded Tank: Willow & Clay; ALDO wallet (similar here); Jeans: Hollister; Shoes: Penny Loves Kenny|
As much as I look forward to the shopping trips with my girlfriends, sometimes doing it alone allows for more time to search for real gems in the sand. That's what happened a few weeks ago when I found this sheer beaded tank after being in a store for close to three hours! I'm the person who only buys what I love after I try on a million things...even if it's just one item of twenty-five. After almost leaving it too, I couldn't bring myself to leave without the top.
Every girl needs some sparkle in her wardrobe! This piece can be dressed up or down. I wore it to 'Night of Appreciation' for work with a black, three quarter sleeved blazer. Here it's paired with denim jeans and high heels for a day out with family.
